TJ Hockenson Injury Report Leaves Room For Return

The Lions T J Hockenson injury report provides hopeful news of him trending in the right direction as far as his personal health, and a possible return this season. This is great news for Coach Matt Patricia and the team, as they were rounding into better shape as far as the offense is concerned. In the game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Ford Field, the Lions rushed the ball the best they’ve done all season, and Hockenson played a considerable role in that and the passing game with Matthew Stafford. Here’s more on his injury update…

TJ Hockenson Injury

The Detroit Lions head into their bye in Week 5 at an ideal time for healing. Matthew Stafford is dealing with a hip issue and wide receiver Danny Amendola was inactive in Week 4 with a chest injury. Things got worse in their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs when rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson tried to hurdle a defender and landed hard on his upper body.

Hockenson was evaluated for a concussion during the game and ruled out the rest of the day. The Lions have not provided an updated timeline for Hockenson’s return to football activities, but he will not be going on injured reserve, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The report mentioned “landing hard on his right shoulder,” but Hockenson will likely also have to clear the concussion protocol.

So after a very scary fall in the 34 30 loss to KC, on September 29 2019, the TJ Hockenson Injury may not result in him missing the remainder of the Lions 2019 season. We’re praying and hoping for a fast return to health for TJ, and can’t wait to see him back in action helping the Lions on their quest to become, not only divisional championship contenders, but a real threat heading into the playoffs!

It’s a great chance that the Lions T J Hockenson plays a key role in doing that; pending his return! Pretty sure Matthew Stafford can’t wait either…finally he has a safety valve at the TE position!
