Lions vs Packers: The Predictions That Nearly Came True

Lions vs Packers: The Predictions That Nearly Came True

In the Lions vs Packers Monday Night matchup we felt like the Lions were poised to win, although we didn’t provide a score prediction…it nearly came true, but the REFs had something else in mind. However there’s another prediction that also nearly came true, and it is score related. Take a look…

Lions vs Packers

Unfortunately for Green Bay’s opponents, running the ball is not how you win in the modern NFL. You win by throwing the ball. And the Packers’ pass rush has been ridiculously good, and their secondary has been nearly as good as the pass rush. Jaire Alexander had a tough go of things against Amari Cooper last week, but prior to that had looked like one of the best corners in the NFL. Kevin King is off to the best start of his career. Slot corner Tramon Williams is beatable, but maybe not by Danny Amendola. Darnell Savage is expected to miss this game, which means Will Redmond will again see increased snaps alongside Adrian Amos. The Lions appear to be getting T.J. Hockenson back for this game, which will help them test this defense up the seam. If they can do that, perhaps Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. will have an easier time working against Alexander and King on the outside.

Prediction: Packers 24, Lions 23

If you want to know more go here

The Lions vs Packers game score ended up 23-22 on a late FG with time running out! You can put this one in the pile of the rest of the games throughout history where the REFs make outlandish penalty calls against the Matthew Stafford led team, stopping from getting too far ahead on the score board, or giving the opponent as many extra opportunities to keep the game close or be in position to win it late!

Don’t believe us, look at the phantom facemask call on the Lions Devin Taylor against Aaron Rodgers from years ago, and compare it to the “2” phantom “Hands to the Face” calls on the Lions DE Trey Flowers!

(Without this phantom call the next play never happens! Say what you will about execution after a phantom call happens; just put the same energy in moments and people (REFs) who create the phantom call moments)

Sure the Lions could have helped themselves more by scoring TDs vs FGs, but when you have a lead and you’re doing everything correct with the situation at hand; it’s more than fair to say/feel like/imply something is scripted about this!

What are your thoughts because it’s tiring to us!

In order to get some of these controversial calls to either go their way or at least stop being called, perhaps the Fords need to pull their advertisements from the NFL to force a change where their team is concerned!

It seems like something Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would do to get some type of results in those moments!

We, the Lions fans…want different results in those moments from both our players, but the REFs too!
